1. FACULTY POSITIONS IN SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING
1. Professors
2. Associate Professors
3. Assistant Professors

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• PhD in a Science or Engineering field relevant to the discipline
• Strong commitment to teaching excellence at the graduate level
• Capacity for development of well-funded independent research program while publishing in leading internationally recognized scholarly journals
• Ability to mentor M. Sc and PhD students
• Should be exceptional with high impact publication and a strong interest in teaching and research at the graduate level
• Candidates for assistant professor are expected to have published a number of high impact research papers in peer-reviewed international journals with bright new ideas for teaching and research as well as having potentials for service in professional societies
• In addition to the above, associate professors must have a notional 5 years experience in academia while full professor position must have strong record of mentoring graduate students and post-doctoral researchers that must have gone to high level position in industry/academia

1. ACCOUNTING POSITIONS

REQUREMENTS

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (ICAN, ACCA)
• Not less than 6 years working experience with proven ability in financial management and accounting
• Proficient in the use of and/or ability to learn and master established accounting software such as tally
• Ability to work effectively in teams and committees with strong clear oral and written communication skills

1. INTERNAL AUDIT

REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration and/or any internationally recognized professional qualifications (CA, CPA, ACA)
• Relevant experience of 5 – 6 years in the profession
• Experience in auditing of a well established company/institution or an external auditing environments of an international exposure
• Clear written and oral communication skills
• Reputation for integrity, good judgment, fairness, tact and discretion in dealing with top management, staff and external parties
• Ability to work in teams and committees

1. LABORATORY MANAGER

REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s degree or equivalent in engineering, Physical Sciences or Science Laboratory Technology
• Any relevant professional qualification is an advantage
• Relevant experience of at least 7 – 8 years in the profession
• Track record in providing laboratory services in a manner which maximizes organizational efficiency and ensures justifiable expenditure of resources and personnel
• Ability to work as part of a team

1. LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of master’s degree in Laboratory Technology
• Experience of 5 – 6 years in a university or company laboratory

1. PROGRAM OFFICER

REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance or Business Administration
• Background in Engineering or science will be a plus
• Minimum of 6 years relevant experience in project management in general and in particular 3 years in project management of development agencies

1. COMMUNICATION AND OUTREACH OFFICER

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of Master’s degree in Mass communications, English Language or public relations
• Not less than 5 years experience in Print or Electronic Media organization, Public Relations firm or Pubic Communication department of a university

1. DUTIES

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of WASCE/NECO
• 5 – 10 years driving experience in University Government establishment or reputable company

The job duration is for three years of which the first year is probation period after which the contract will be renewed for another 2 years for all positions except Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant professor
