responsibilities:
Support for the coordination of the
Bank’s internal and external legal SOA capabilities in the exercise of its
judicial function and working with the internal legal staff and external
parties, as approved by management;
Preparation of a variety of legal documents , including the transaction documentation to protect the interests of the Bank as lender , borrower , co- lender, the service user or supplier and a wide range of other capabilities ;
Negotiation of legal documents of the Bank, AOS legal counterparties and under the direction of management;
Provide legal advice to management and staff in all areas proffer solutions to legal problems , constraints, risks, options , consequences and approaches to the Bank, the activities of the OSA ;
Examine the legal documentation prepared for the Bank or from the work of the Bank;
Provide an advisory opinion on the Bank , the constituent instruments OSA Ai Bank and Charter Agreement ;
Representative of the internal and external Bank negotiation , litigation, consultation and other procedures that require legal representation and
Participation in the legal aspects of the Bank and AOS business loans and borrowing transactions, including loan administration , ALCO , work ECORC and other management committees such as the precise management .

Skills and experience required
requirements:
Graduate degree in law from a
recognized university and a diploma in legal practice of a recognized course of
Bar .
Professional legal practice and experience of at least 5 years , with a particular focus on the financial services sector is essential.
Experience in managing cross-border trade documents and project financial services will be an advantage.
Ability to communicate and work in a culturally diverse society and change oriented with a good knowledge of banking practices in Africa setting.
Ability to interact with senior executives of banks, corporations and governments and provide legal advice on various management issues to senior management of the Bank and the Commission.
Excellent verbal and written communication in English and working knowledge of French . Knowledge of other working languages of the Bank is an added advantage (Arabic and Portuguese) ;
Strong writing skills of various legal documents and clear and concise communication of complex issues.
Familiarity with issues of trade finance and project specific issues and cross-border transactions is desirable;
Ability to quickly grasp the essence , content and implications of the Bank AOS incorporation in order to be able to provide advice on them.
Opportunity to examine within strict deadlines long and complex transactions and other legal documents.
Negotiation skills and the ability to work with other professionals , including non- lawyers to develop innovative solutions to conflicting interests and positions solutions professionals and
Demonstrated leadership capabilities , including the ability to organize and manage human resources to achieve the objectives.
