Directly Reports to: MIS Manager
Indirectly Reports to: N/A
Supervises: N/A

Job Summary

The Accounting Officer – MIS works with the MIS team, assisting the Finance Manager for financial performance reporting in line with company’s strategies.

The Accounting officer - MIS assist in budget gathering, collation and analysis.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Operational
  • Assist with preparation and analysis of weekly reports for operations meeting
  • Preparation of high value added report for kind consideration of management and regulatory requirement.
  • Preparation of intelligence based dashboard for monitoring of key performance indicators on periodic basis
  • Preparation of working capital monitoring reports.
  • Preparation of competition intelligence reporting
  • Budget management and control
  • Preparation of monthly OPEX report
  • Preparation of monthly CAPEX report
  • Review of opex and comparison against budget for cost center
  • Writing minutes for operations and exco meetings
  • Detailed analysis of product profitability
  • Assist in the preparation of Management Accounts.
  • Other duties as assigned by Finance manager
Key Performance Indicators
  • Timeliness in preparation and submission of financial reports
  • Provision of timely, accurate and comprehensive tax information
Qualifications & Experience
  • First degree in Finance, Investment Management, Business Administration, Economics or Accounting.
  • Professional Accreditation (ACA)
  • 0-1 year experience in Finance function preferably in the downstream Oil & Gas sector.
