Overview:
The West Africa Account Manager
reports to SVP sales. This newly created role is responsible for managing all
customer relationships at the executive level and operations through various
accounts of mobile operators in West Africa . The main objective is to develop
and execute on the accounting by defining the main sales growth strategies,
tactics and action plans needed to reach all key objectives ( financial,
operational and customer satisfaction ) . The Account Manager – West Africa
acts as the main interface for all communications , coordination issues and
works as a point of major escalation between the upstream and the client.
This role is based in Lagos ,
Nigeria and a resettlement program , including housing and the driver can be
included.

Knowledge, skills and experience
Experience of at least 4 years ( in
VAS and telecommunications )
Combined with at least 8 years experience in sales or account management
Demonstrated understanding of VAS products
Understanding of business and evidence of managing large operators in Africa
Demonstrated ability to engage with “C” experience level contacts
Ability to track the organizational structure of the mobile operator and the basis of political power
Thinking organized and structured for planning and execution
Leadership and gravitas to effectively conduct business
Salesmanship and effective communications
Time management ( ability to work independently and to develop own agenda daily / weekly)
Combined with at least 8 years experience in sales or account management
Demonstrated understanding of VAS products
Understanding of business and evidence of managing large operators in Africa
Demonstrated ability to engage with “C” experience level contacts
