Current job today: Associate country Director Job in Nigeria at Oxfam



While Nigeria is the second largest economy in Africa, with the largest agricultural production , food insecurity is a growing threat. And , despite being a signatory to the African Union Protocol on Women , Nigeria is still struggling with a gender imbalance in the level of governance and leadership. The work of Oxfam GB in the country focuses on sustainable livelihoods and gender equality , as well as supporting the Nigerian agricultural transformation program .
The role will lead our work in Nigeria , in collaboration with the Regional Management Centre , affiliates and other organizations to drive delivery of the country analysis and towns and provide leadership to teams on the ground strategy. It is crucial that we maintain a consistent and integrated efforts across Nigeria approach. Something that you will keep in mind that you inspire and motivate your team in achieving the agreed priorities and plans, to ensure that we use our resources and identify opportunities to leverage our capabilities. But your success will depend as much on the partnerships that you develop in the operational work involved . So , build relationships with politicians, contract management of donor funds and vital partnership with the private sector and other NGOs , and platforms of civil society , you will create strong links and establish an agency Oxfam influence – help make a real difference in a need to support our country. You display a strong experience in gender mainstreaming at all levels of analysis and program delivery.
What we are seeking to give birth in a role of such importance calls for extensive experience in driving the development of the program and change management , in both humanitarian and development context . So you know all about the donors and partner relationship building , fundraising and awareness , as well as lead and motivate teams. And from a practical point of view, you will be the development and management of complex budgets confident . More than that , economic justice , social justice and advocacy skills are essential, as is the ability to think politically , analytical and strategic in difficult situations. But just as important , you will have the credibility, drive and passion to positively represent Oxfam at all levels .
