A nonprofit, non-political Islamic organisation, situated in Lagos, and committed to the promotion, propagation and strengthening the religion of Islam in all its ramification and meeting the spiritual needs of the Muslim Ummah requires the services of the vacant position.

Job Title: Deputy Imam

Location: Lagos

The Position
The position reports to the Executive Committee and Board of Trustees.the job holder deputizes for the Imam and helpsin coordinating activities that will enhance the spiritual development of the Ummah.

Key Responsibilities
Shall work in harmony with the Imam to achieve success of the stated Key Responsibilities highlighted above.

Personnel Specification

• Post Graduate Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Islamic & Arabic
• Studies in addition to a good First Degree from a reputable University.
• At least 8 years cognate experience in a mosque leadership position.
• Very good knowledge of the Holy Qur’an, Hadith, Sunnah, Fiqh, Tafsir and other areas of Islamic theology.
• Sincerity of purpose and ability to work creatively towards projecting Islam.
• Very good oratory skill.
• Fluency in Arabic, English and Yoruba languages.
• Aged between 30 - 40 years.
